As part of the Phase 2 relaunch, reporting will begin taking place on July 15.
Environmental reporting that was paused during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency is resuming four weeks earlier than planned. As part of the Phase 2 relaunch, reporting will begin taking place on July 15.
Reports affected three-month extension to industry to submit regulatory reports for emissions reduction achievements and renewable fuel operator compliance issued by AEP are due on June 30. Water Act related documentation including approvals and licences and public land rental reports, and EPEA authorization reports that have been collected since the Extension Order must now be submitted as well.
“Now that the public health emergency is no longer in effect and Alberta is reopening as part of our phase two relaunch, industry can resume business while keeping communities and employees safe.” Jason Nixon, Environment and Park Minister stated.
Minister of Energy Sonya Savage echoed the statement, saying, “While we expect precautionary measures to be taken, we have no doubt that industry is more than capable of adapting to these challenges.”
Orders issued by the Ministry of Energy will be rescinded earlier than originally expected, effective July 15.
